2006 CARNIVAL

OUR NATION PROVED ONCE AGAIN THAT NOTHING CAN STOP IT FROM ENJOYING, SPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO ITS CARNIVAL. MANY GROUPS WERE PERFORMING , AND SOME OF THEM CONFIRMED THAT THEY ARE "GRANMOUN" IN WHAT THEY ARE DOING, WHICH MADE THE CARNIVAL VERY HOT FROM THE FIRST TO THE THIRD DAY. BASEKOMPA WAS IN PORT-AU-PRINCE (CHAMP DE MARS). WE ARE GOING TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA ABOUT WHAT HAPPEND: KING POSSE, T-VICE , RAM, DJAKOUT MIZIK, VWADEZIL, TOP ADLERMAN, TAKE OFF, MASS KOMPA, BROTHERS POSSE, KREZI MIZIK, KREYOL LA, REV, RACINE MAPOU, DJANESTA, ORS, LEGEND AND MANY OTHERS.

1ST DAY: KING POSSE gave a fair performence, the soud was not good ,which was not what the fans expected from King Posse.

T-VICE proved to everyone that it is a Towo in carnival, perfect sound, avek anpil animasyon.

Unfortunetly Djakout mizik, krezi mizik, Ram did not have a chance to get Champ de Mars because they were stop around 2h in the next day by the C.C.

2nd day : Djakout MIZIK had a chance to prove to everyone that li se yon nan met beton yo, great performence, good sound ,animasyon pat mal, son lari a di yo te fe anpil bri. Krezi mizik did its best . kreyol la was ok , Ram, vwadezil, T-Vice were fine.King posse performed better in the second day.Basekompa is noticing the presence of Janestha which did not bring so many people .

3rd DAY : ORS was did not give too much, king posse was just fine, Vwadezil was ok, Ttake Off was not what people expected, Rev, Brothers Posse, Racine mapou, were ok, Ram was great, Mass Kompa was ok ,Krezi Mizik ,kreyol la did what they had to do. Djakout Mizik was good, the sound was ok. T-Vice was ok , however , it was not that hot in the third day,and the sound was not perfect. Wyclef Jean was assisted (helped) by Mizik Mizik, Roro Nelson, Black Alex and many others,the sound was good ,thus they just gave a fair performence. Michel Martely was not there because of some difficulties(sponsors).

It was great , the PNH had done a great Job (Big respect for them), not too many injuries registered . Stick with us, more videos and pictures of the 2006 Carnival will be posted by Friday on www.basekompa.com
